MORE ABOUT ME

Luzya Wiid

I am happily married to my High School sweat heart Pieter and we are blessed with 2 beautiful children. I'm a Qualified Teacher with more than 14 years experience in Primary and Early Childhood Education. I studied at the University of the North-West in South Africa where I earned the following Qualifications:

- Advance Certificate in Education

- 3 year Diploma in Education

- B.Ed. Honors Degree in Education.

My teaching journey in South-Africa lead me through all walks of education from main stream to special needs education. By following this path l gained a valuable amount of skills and knowledge which l will treasure for the rest of my life.

We immigrated to Australia in 2015 and are blessed to call it our home.

In 2018 I got the opportunity to work at Grace Lutheran Pre-School in Moree, NSW where I studied further and obtained a Cert 3 in Early Childhood Education. Short after this I decided to pursue my dreams of doing Family Daycare which allows me to focus on each child’s individual needs.

What LU'S HOME DAYCARE is All About

Based in EIGHT MILE PLAINS, Lu's HOME Daycare adheres to a blended approach of early childhood education. When children are exposed to different environments & various learning experiences, they are allowed to explore their self-awareness & gain a sense of the world around them.

I believe that children learn best through the process of discovery and exploring. The use of a program gives the children in my care the opportunity to be exposed from an early age, to quality education & consistency in daily routine. The gift of having an adult ready to engage and create memories that will stay with them forever. Once they leave here, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.

Imaginative Play

Toddlers explore the world and expand their imaginations through play.
Imaginative and creative play helps them develop many different skills.

Outdoor Play

Outdoor play supports children's problem-solving skills and nurtures their creativity, as well as providing rich opportunities for their developing imagination, inventiveness and resourcefulness. No matter what your child needs, we provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth.

Arts & Crafts

Art and Craft activities are furnished to consist of moving the fingers and hands which assists in fine motor skills development. Simple actions like holding a paintbrush and coloring with pencils help strengthen muscles and improve their control. Arts and crafts activities can enhance the children's dexterity and agility.

Mission Statement

Quality Child Care

I strongly believe in nurturing the creativity and imagination of children in a comfortable HOME away from HOME setting. That is why I've created an environment where each child feels safe, happy and engaged.  I strive to ensure that the needs and interest of each individual child are met. "My focus is to establish a stimulating and hands-on educational experience which promotes each child's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.” Get in touch to find out more.
